Do’s & Don’ts

Accurate and complete listing information is crucial. Errors or omissions can lead to buyer disputes, which may result in your funds being withheld until the issue is resolved.

Do:

  • List physical books only.
  • Only list books that are currently in stock and available.
Sold elsewhere? Listing must be removed immediately.
  • Photos must show the exact book the buyer will receive.
    Include at minimum:
    Front cover
    Back cover
    Clear photos of any damage
  • List each book with its accurate condition and note any flaws (See Book Condition Guide)
If unsure, choose the lower condition.
Books below “acceptable” condition cannot be listed.
  • Each used book must be listed separately with its own condition and photos of the exact copy the buyer will receive.
  • Ensure books are clean and presentable before listing.
  • School workbooks are welcome only if they are:
Unused – clean, with no writing, highlighting, or erased marks.
Original – no printables or copies.
In very good condition at least.
  • Ensure a book fits within the standard locker size (60 × 41 × 19 cm, max 10 kg including packaging).
  • List a box set or bundle as a single item. Set stock to 1.
Name all titles in the description field so the buyer knows what’s in the set.
    Include photos of all books.
    Note the books’ flaws.
  • Multi-author books: first author + et al. (product name field).
  • Keep book condition text field brief and scannable.

Don’t:

  • Do not delete sold-out listings. You may hide them after the buyer confirms their purchase.
  • Do not list dirty books (soiled, mouldy, or with strong odours).
Only list books you’d be happy to receive yourself.
  • Do not list bundled books individually — prevents double-selling.
  • No external links allowed.
  • Do not use ALL CAPS.
