TradeSafe is Bookle’s secure payment system. Your payment is held safely by TradeSafe and only released to the seller once you’ve received the book and confirmed you’re satisfied. TradeSafe is backed by Standard Bank.

No, there are no hidden costs when buying on Bookle.

The price you see includes everything:

• Book price – set by the seller
• Delivery cost – clearly shown at checkout
• Total amount payable – exactly what you’ll be charged

Bookle also covers the TradeSafe transaction fee and your buyer protection fee, so you don’t pay extra for secure transactions.

What you see at checkout is exactly what you pay — no surprises.

Shipping costs are always paid by the buyer. Bookle uses The Courier Guy’s locker system (formerly Pudo) for fast and reliable delivery.

Delivery options:

• Locker-to-locker: R69
• Locker-to-door: R122

If your order is too large for a locker, the seller may contact you—some even cover the extra cost.

In-person pick-up isn’t available, but the locker system ensures nationwide delivery is convenient, safe, and efficient.

Yes! You can bundle books from the same seller and pay just one courier fee for the entire parcel. Bundling is the smartest way to shop on Bookle.

How bundling works:

• One Seller, One Parcel: Add as many books as you like from a single seller’s shop to your cart.
• Weight & Size: The medium Courier Guy (Pudo) locker fee covers parcels up to 10kg.
• Easy: Keep adding books to your cart — the system handles the rest.

If your bundle is too large for a locker, the seller may contact you to arrange an alternative. Some sellers may even cover extra shipping costs.

Bookle Store sellers aim to dispatch your order quickly — usually within 7 days.

Once the package is dropped off at The Courier Guy lockers, delivery typically takes 1–4 business days.

After your purchase, you’ll receive your tracking number via email from Bookle. The Courier Guy will also send it by WhatsApp and email.

Even new sellers can be trusted. Bookle monitors every order, and you’re protected by buyer protection, ensuring a safe purchase no matter who you buy from.

If the book you receive doesn’t match the listing or images, here’s what to do:

• After you receive your package, TradeSafe will email you asking if you’re satisfied with your order.
• If you’re not, click the “Submit issue” button in the email.
• Provide a description of the problem and submit it.

Bookle will then contact the seller to negotiate a resolution. TradeSafe will hold the payment while you and the seller agree on a solution, whether it’s a return, partial refund, or replacement.

Once the issue is resolved, you’ll receive another email to confirm acceptance. You have 24 hours to confirm. After that, TradeSafe releases the funds to the appropriate party.

If your book doesn’t match the listing, is damaged, or you don’t receive your parcel, TradeSafe has you covered:

1. After delivery, TradeSafe emails you to confirm if you’re satisfied.
2. If not, click “Submit issue” in the email and describe the problem.
3. Bookle contacts the seller to negotiate a resolution while TradeSafe holds the payment. Possible solutions include a return, replacement, or partial refund.
4. Once resolved, you’ll receive an email to confirm acceptance. You have 24 hours to respond before TradeSafe releases the funds.

This process ensures buyer protection and a fair resolution for all parties.

You have 36 hours to pick up your parcel from the locker.

If it isn’t collected in time:

• The package is sent to the nearest Courier Guy kiosk/depot.
• You can request it to be resent to a locker or alternative address, but additional fees may apply.
• Sellers only get paid once you confirm satisfaction, so delays hold up their payment.
• Your order may be considered completed, and you lose the chance to inspect your books before funds are released.

Collect your parcel promptly to avoid extra fees and ensure a smooth transaction.

Many sellers display their email address on their storefront, so you can contact them directly.
