Description
Wicked! by Jilly Cooper is a humorous contemporary novel set in the chaotic world of British private and state education, where privilege, rivalry and teenage rebellion collide.
Bagley Hall is an outrageously expensive independent boarding school attended by the spoilt children of the rich and famous. Meanwhile, Larkminster Comprehensive is a struggling state school facing closure. When a proposed merger brings the two schools together, their headmaster and headmistress find themselves in frequent contact — and soon discover an attraction neither expected.
But the proposed merger is far from popular. Teachers and parents on both sides resist the changes, while the pupils seize the opportunity to stir up trouble. As old rivalries, clashing backgrounds and romantic sparks fuel the upheaval, Cooper delivers a lively comic take on the British education system and the people caught up in its madness.
