Description
The Star of Kazan is a children’s historical fiction novel set in late nineteenth-century Vienna. Twelve-year-old Annika is a foundling who has grown up working in a Viennese household when she unexpectedly inherits a trunk of costume jewellery.
Her life changes when a woman claiming to be her aristocratic mother arrives and takes Annika to a strangely run-down mansion in Germany. There, Annika finds herself caught up in the mystery surrounding her family and her unexpected new life.
