Description
Hard Girls by Martina Cole is a gritty crime thriller and the third book in the DI Kate Burrows series. When the mutilated body of prostitute Danielle Crosby is discovered, DCI Annie Carr faces a murder unlike anything she has encountered before. Retired DCI Kate Burrows, now working as a consultant, joins the investigation, bringing years of experience that include catching the Grantley Ripper and breaking a major paedophile ring.
When another prostitute is found brutally murdered, it becomes clear that a ruthless serial killer is still at large. Annie and Kate must work together to identify a killer who leaves few clues and appears to have no limits. As they dig deeper, they also encounter the darker side of prostitution, where vulnerable women can become part of a lucrative and dangerous business.
A good choice for readers who enjoy gritty British crime fiction, serial-killer investigations, police procedurals and Martina Cole’s hard-edged stories about the criminal underworld.
