Description
Chain Reaction by Elise Title is a psychological thriller centred on a psychiatrist caught in a series of brutal murders that point suspicion directly at her.
Dr Caroline Hoffman specialises in treating sexual addictions and is already under police and media scrutiny when she is found near the scene of a man’s murder. The victim was abused, gagged and strangled with a chain. When her lover and one of her male patients are killed in the same way, Caroline becomes the prime suspect and must fight to clear her name. As she investigates, a connection emerges between the killings and a painting depicting the goddess Aphrodite and her lover in chains. Caroline’s determination to defend another patient leads her deeper into a dangerous web of deception, where one wrong move could cost her life.
Set against a disturbing series of linked murders, this suspenseful thriller combines psychological tension, sexual obsession and a race to uncover the killer before the next attack.
