Description
Code Name Bananas is a children’s historical adventure set in Britain during the Second World War. Eleven-year-old Eric spends much of his time at London Zoo, where he has formed a special bond with Gertrude, a gorilla. When German bombs begin falling on London, Eric and his Uncle Sid, a zoo keeper, set out to get Gertrude to safety.
Their escape takes them to the seaside, where they stumble upon a top-secret Nazi plot. What begins as an attempt to protect a beloved animal soon becomes a dangerous adventure with much higher stakes.
