Description
The Witches by Roald Dahl is a wonderfully wicked children’s fantasy about a boy who discovers that witches are far more dangerous than the stories suggest.
Real witches don’t wear black cloaks or ride broomsticks. They look like ordinary women, blending in so well that they’re almost impossible to recognise. But beneath their everyday appearances, they are cruel creatures who despise children and will stop at nothing to get rid of them.
When a young boy comes face to face with a gathering of real witches, he finds himself caught up in a frightening adventure. With danger all around him, he’ll need courage and cleverness to outwit these sinister enemies.
Full of dark humour, fantastical mischief and Dahl’s unmistakable storytelling, this is a classic tale for young readers who enjoy a little fright with their fun.
