Description
The Hollow Heart by Marie Rutkoski is the concluding novel in the Forgotten Gods duology, continuing the story of Nirrim and Sid after the events of The Midnight Lie. Nirrim has sacrificed her heart to a god of thieves to restore her people’s memories, but the power she gains comes with consequences. The Half Kith begin to discover their own abilities, while Sid returns to Herran to face her responsibilities as a rogue princess.
As rumours spread of magic, war and a mysterious queen who can manipulate people’s memories, Sid discovers that the queen is Nirrim herself. Seeking revenge against a world that has wronged her, Nirrim becomes increasingly dangerous, forcing Sid to confront the question of whether she can save the person she once loved. With the gods pursuing their own plans, their relationship becomes entangled in a growing conflict between magic, power and war.
