Eighteen years later, Sheila is gone and Peter is raising Rowan alone. As his daughter begins to struggle and veer off course, Peter questions whether all the love and protection he can give her will be enough. When Sheila suddenly returns, the family is forced to confront the events that tore them apart and the anger, questions and longing that have remained unresolved.
A good choice for readers who enjoy contemporary family dramas, complicated relationships, emotional stories about parenthood and novels that explore how the past continues to shape a family.
