Description
Red Earth by Tony Park is an action-packed thriller set in southern Africa, where a carjacking in Durban sets off a dangerous chain of events. When Suzanne Fessey fights back against two hijackers, one is killed, but the other escapes with her baby still strapped into the back seat.
Helicopter tracker pilot Nia Carras and wildlife researcher Mike Dunn are called in to help find the missing child. As they follow the trail from Zululand through game reserves towards Zimbabwe, the search becomes increasingly perilous. Meanwhile, a suicide bombing has killed a visiting American ambassador, throwing KwaZulu-Natal into chaos. The investigation soon reveals that Suzanne has secrets of her own, and that the search for her baby is entangled with a much larger conflict.
Combining high-stakes action, wildlife tracking and the landscapes of southern Africa with the threat of international terrorism, Red Earth is a fast-moving thriller for readers who enjoy suspenseful plots rooted in the African bush and contemporary political tensions.
