Description
Maine Brides by Susan Page Davis is a Christian historical romance collection following three women in nineteenth-century Maine whose faith and love are tested by difficult circumstances. Each woman finds herself drawn to a man whom society has rejected or written off: Jack, a prisoner sentenced to hang for murder; Edward, presumed dead after disappearing at sea; and Etienne, an immigrant lumberjack whose worth is overlooked.
Across the three stories, the women must decide whether love can survive the obstacles standing between them and the men they care about. Faith plays an important role as they face uncertainty, prejudice, loss and the possibility of unexpected second chances.
A good choice for readers who enjoy Christian historical romance, faith-centred love stories, frontier-era settings and stories about redemption and overcoming adversity.
