Description
Into the Crooked Place by Alexandra Christo is the first book in a gritty young adult fantasy duology, set in a dangerous city where dark magic, crime and ambition shape everyday life.
In the streets of Creije, four outsiders are fighting to survive. Tavia is a busker dealing in dark magic who wants to leave her criminal past behind. Wesley is a ruthless aspiring gangster determined to bring the realm under his control. Karam is a warrior who guards the city’s most dangerous criminals while building her reputation in underground fighting rings. Saxony, meanwhile, is a resistance fighter seeking revenge on those who destroyed her family. Their carefully laid plans unravel when Tavia unknowingly delivers a vial of dark magic to someone she cares about, setting off a conflict that threatens the entire realm.
Forced to work together despite their conflicting ambitions and deep mistrust, the four must confront powerful enemies and decide how much they are willing to sacrifice to save their home.
