Classic Collection of The Digest of South African Case Law 1946–1949 is a consolidated legal reference set compiled by Murray Bisset and Percival Frere Smith and published by Juta & Co. It brings together and indexes major judgments handed down by the superior courts of South Africa during the years 1946 to 1949.
The set comprises six volumes plus an index volume, covering a wide range of legal subjects and concepts. The volumes are arranged alphabetically by subject, from “A to Court” and “Covenant to Insanity” through to “Prodigal to Yeomanry”, with a further volume covering cases overruled and an index and digest of South African law reports for the period.
