In For One More Day, Charley Benetto, a child of divorce, is always forced to choose between his mother and his father. He grows up and starts a family of his own. One fateful weekend, he leaves his mother to secretly be with his father. She dies while he is gone and this haunts him. Depressed and on the brink of suicide he gets one last day to spend with his mother. This turns out to be a fresh start for him, a second chance in life.
