Everything you need to buy preloved books with confidence on Bookle.
1. What Bookle is
Bookle is a secondhand book marketplace where buyers purchase books from independent sellers. All transactions are protected by escrow and fulfilled through The Courier Guy’s locker network (formerly known as PUDO).
2. Core transaction rules
These rules apply to every purchase:
- Buyer pays the full order total at checkout
- Payment is held securely in escrow (TradeSafe)
- Seller is notified once payment is confirmed
- Seller ships the order using approved courier lockers
- Buyer receives and inspects the order
- Funds are released after confirmation or automatic expiry of the dispute window
- Shipping is a fixed fee per order (not per book)
3. Shipping system
Bookle uses The Courier Guy locker network (formerly PUDO) for all deliveries.
Shipping model
Shipping is not calculated per item. Instead:
- A fixed fee applies per shipment
- The fee is determined by delivery method (see below)
- Multiple books in one order are bundled into a single shipment.
This means buyers are strongly encouraged to bundle multiple books into one order to maximise shipping value.
Delivery options
1. Locker-to-locker delivery
- Parcel is sent from one courier locker to another
- Most cost-efficient delivery method
- Ideal for standard book orders and bundles
2. Locker-to-door delivery
- Parcel is sent from a courier locker directly to the buyer’s address
- Higher convenience option
- Recommended for larger or more urgent orders
Parcel size rule
- Most book orders (including multiple books) fit within a single medium-sized locker shipment
- If an order exceeds courier size limits, it may be split into multiple shipments

5. Disputes & protection
Buyers may open a dispute if:
- Item is clearly not as described

Delivery time depends on two stages:
1. Seller dispatch time
- Sellers are expected to dispatch orders within 7 calendar days of purchase
2. Courier delivery time
- Once the parcel is dropped off at The Courier Guy locker network, delivery typically takes 1–4 business days, depending on location and delivery method
Delivery timelines may vary based on seller processing speed and courier network conditions.
All sellers on Bookle operate under the same platform rules and are monitored through order performance tracking.
Bookle uses a seller rating system based on completed orders:

- No ratings — Sellers still building their track record or with mixed performance history
