TradeSafe is our platform’s payment gateway. TradeSafe’s escrow protects buyers and vendors by holding the buyer’s funds in an escrow holding account until the vendor delivers the goods. No! The price you see is the price you will be charged. Except for your shipping fee, no other charges will be added. Bookle will cover your transaction fee.

Please note that you must place separate orders for each vendor.

Shipping is at the buyer’s cost. We offer two PUDO delivery options:

* PUDO locker-to-locker (R69)
* PUDO locker-to-door (R109)

If your order exceeds PUDO’s available locker sizes, your seller may contact you.

Since vendors are based throughout South Africa, pick-up isn’t an option.

Bundling is easy! Just add more books (from one vendor) to your cart and pay in one go (one order). The PUDO shipping fee covers a package of up to 10kg, as long as it fits in the locker.

We encourage our Bookle Stores to keep handling time to a minimum, but ideally no longer than 7 days. Once your vendor drops off the package at PUDO’s lockers, it will usually take 1-4 business days for delivery.

You may want to check a specific store’s Terms and Conditions for an indication of their handling time.

If an item you receive significantly differs from the image or description on our website, please follow these steps:

1. After confirming receipt of your package via Pudo, TradeSafe will send you an email asking if you received the correct order.
2. If you’re not satisfied with the item, click the “SUBMIT ISSUE” button in the email.
3. Provide a description of the problem and click the “Submit” button.

Bookle will then contact the vendor to initiate negotiations. TradeSafe will hold the funds while you and the vendor work towards a resolution, whether it be a partial refund or a return. Please ensure you have any necessary proof available. Once the issue is resolved, you will receive another email where you will have 24 hours to confirm acceptance of the books. After you confirm acceptance, TradeSafe will release the funds to the relevant parties.

If you don’t get your package within two weeks of ordering, TradeSafe will email you to check if it arrived. If it hasn’t, indicate so on the email. TradeSafe will then inform Bookle, and Bookle will look into it. If the vendor isn’t responding, Bookle will initiate a refund within 3 working days.

Courier fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

If you’re not receiving emails from Bookle, Tradesafe, or the vendor, please check your spam, junk, or promotions folders. If the email isn’t there, ensure that your email address was entered correctly during registration.

We ask vendors to maintain accurate stock levels. If you purchase a book on Bookle that is out of stock, the vendor is responsible for issuing a full refund via TradeSafe. If the vendor offers a replacement book, you can choose to accept it. TradeSafe funds will only be released to the vendor after you confirm your satisfaction with the resolution.

According to Pudo’s FAQ’s:

“From the moment you receive the notification stating your package has arrived at one of the pudo lockers, you will have 36 hours to pick up your package. If you don’t pick up your package within the deadline, it will be sent to the closest pudo Kiosk/Depot. You can also ask to resend your package to a pudo locker nearest to you or an alternative address at an additional cost.”

Be sure to collect your package at the Pudo kiosk/depo as soon as possible to take advantage of the opportunity to inspect it before the funds are released to the Bookle Store vendor. If you fail to do so promptly, the order will be considered correct and completed, ensuring fairness to the vendor who is awaiting payment.
