Do:
- Listing of physical books only.
- Ensure that books listed on Bookle are not listed elsewhere, so that your inventory remains accurate.
It is crucial to list only books that are in stock. Canceled orders due to poor stock management are viewed negatively by buyers. Additionally, Bookle remains responsible for paying the TradeSafe Escrow fees, even in the case of a canceled order. - Listed books must be at LEAST in an acceptable condition. Please check our book condition guide. When in doubt, it’s often better to select a slightly lower condition to exceed expectations rather than risk disappointing buyers.
- Books of utmost historical value, but in worse condition, are welcome.
- Use photos of the actual item, not images taken from the internet.
- Include photos of the front and back cover. Provide additional photos of flaws when possible and/or describe the flaws in the text.
- For best visual results, set your camera on the 3:4 ratio (portrait).
- If you have multiple copies of the same book with different flaws, please create separate listings.
- Clean dusty books as well as you can.
- Original published school workbooks are welcome provided they are UNUSED with no writing or highlighting inside. No printables.
- The standard locker size is 60cm x 41cm x 19cm and the maximum weight is 10kg (including packaging).
Complete box sets (including encyclopedias) and informal bundles (compiled by the seller) can be sold as single products. If a set/bundle exceeds the standard locker size/weight, the seller will be responsible for any extra shipping fees. Keep in mind that a buyer might add more books to the same order.
If a book is larger than the standard size locker and needs folding, please clearly mention in your listing that it will be folded. If it cannot be folded, we cannot accommodate it.
Don’t:
- Please don’t delete a SOLD OUT listing. Once the buyer has confirmed they’re happy with their purchase, you may hide the listing if you prefer.
- Please avoid listing dirty, mouldy books or emitting strong odours. Kindly refrain from listing books in a condition that you wouldn’t be happy to receive yourself.
- When listing box sets for sale, please ensure that each book within the box set is not listed separately as a single item as well. Doing so may result in double purchases by buyers, leading to confusion and potential cancellations. To avoid this, decide beforehand if you want to sell a book as a single or as part of a set.

Please avoid listing books on Bookle if they are available on other platforms, and ensure your inventory accurately reflects the total stock. If a book is purchased on Bookle but is actually out of stock, you are still responsible for paying Bookle’s commission.
Here’s how it works: If a book is not available anymore but then purchased on Bookle, you must issue a full refund (out of pocket) to the buyer. If the buyer is willing to consider a replacement book, that is acceptable. TradeSafe funds will be released to the buyer and Bookle only after the buyer has confirmed satisfaction with the resolution.
This policy helps Bookle cover TradeSafe transaction fees and website running costs.
